Prathama V is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Sree Narayana Arts and Science College, Kumarakom. She holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Kerala and an M.Sc. in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. She has cleared the CSIR-NET exam in Physical Sciences and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Physics. Prathama's teaching and research interests lie
in Astronomy-Astrophysics and Computational Physics. With over a decade of teaching experience, Prathama also serves as the Head of the Department of Physics. She takes the initiative and leads in organising various academic and outreach programs. She has convened several national and international seminars and workshops, including National Science Day Celebrations and events focused on astronomy and cosmology. Prathama has completed numerous professional development courses, including various NPTEL certifications in areas such as machine learning, Python for data science, and statistical analysis. Additionally, she has attended various courses in Astronomy conducted by the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune. She is also the Convenor of the SC/ST Committee and Science Club and led the Anti-Women Harassment Cell from 2020 to 2022. Her dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, actively engaging in environmental awareness initiatives. With a strong focus on research and student development, Prathama continues to contribute significantly to the academic and scientific community
