The Mentoring Cell at Sree Narayana Arts and Science College is a dedicated support system designed to foster holistic student development, enhance academic performance, and promote personal growth. This initiative pairs students with faculty mentors who provide personalized guidance, motivation, and continuous support throughout their academic journey. By addressing individual needs and nurturing students’ strengths, the Mentoring Cell plays a crucial role in helping students achieve their goals and realize their full potential within a supportive environment.

To support student growth, the college has implemented a mentoring program where faculty members are trained to mentor and meet daily with students. These sessions allow mentors to listen to students' concerns and guide them in their personal and academic development. Each faculty member, acting as a mentor, is assigned a group of 15-20 students (mentees) and provides ongoing assistance in both academic progress and overall growth.

Mentors build intentional, supportive relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and accountability, creating a safe space for students to pursue personal and academic learning goals. This mentoring relationship continues throughout the student's academic tenure. In the final semester, mentors assist with guidance on higher studies, career planning, and help students transition smoothly into their professional lives.

Objectives of the Mentoring Cell:

  1. Personalized Guidance: Provide one-on-one mentoring sessions to address the unique needs, strengths, and challenges of each student, offering tailored advice and support.
  2. Academic Support: Assist students in managing their academic workload, setting realistic goals, and improving study habits to optimize academic performance.
  3. Career Counseling: Help students explore various career paths, aligning their interests and skills with potential opportunities, and preparing them for internships, placements, and higher studies.
  4. Emotional and Psychological Support: Create a safe space for students to discuss personal challenges such as stress, anxiety, or social issues, helping them develop resilience and emotional well-being.
  5. Goal Setting and Tracking: Assist students in setting clear, achievable goals, periodically assessing their progress, and providing constructive feedback and motivation to help them stay on track.
