Introduction

The Anti-Ragging Committee is established at each college or university to uphold regulations and laws that strictly prohibit ragging. This committee is dedicated to investigating complaints, monitoring the Anti-Ragging Squad's activities, and fostering a campus culture free from ragging. It plays an active role in formulating strategies and action plans aimed at preventing ragging and conducts regular awareness programs to educate and protect students.

Objectives

  • Eliminate Ragging: Work actively to eliminate ragging in all forms and educate students on its harmful effects.
  • Raise Awareness: Inform students, staff, and faculty about the legal implications of ragging and the college's zero-tolerance policy.
  • Safe Reporting: Provide a secure and confidential mechanism for reporting ragging incidents without fear of retaliation.
  • Fair Investigations: Investigate reported incidents promptly and impartially, ensuring a fair process for all involved.
  • Disciplinary Action: Recommend appropriate disciplinary measures in alignment with college policies and legal requirements for those found guilty.
  • Support for Victims: Offer psychological support and counseling to victims, helping them cope with the effects of ragging.
  • Promote Positive Values: Conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness programs to foster respect, empathy, and inclusivity among students.
  • Encourage Mutual Respect: Promote a culture of mutual respect and positive interaction, bridging diverse backgrounds and experiences.
