Introduction

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) at Sree Narayana Arts and Science College, Kumarakom, plays an essential role in promoting awareness about public health issues, particularly HIV/AIDS, blood donation, and social responsibility. The club actively engages students in educational campaigns, workshops, and rallies in collaboration with health departments and local NGOs to raise awareness about safe practices, stigma reduction, and preventive healthcare.

In addition to its focus on health education, the Red Ribbon Club fosters a sense of civic duty among students by organizing regular blood donation camps, encouraging them to contribute to society’s well-being. The club also organizes creative competitions such as poster-making and debates to involve students in raising awareness on critical health issues.

Through its various initiatives, the RRC not only addresses public health concerns but also promotes life skills education on topics such as gender equality, mental health, and volunteerism. These activities aim to empower students to become proactive, socially responsible citizens, contributing to a healthier and more inclusive society. The Red Ribbon Club aligns with national initiatives on health awareness and youth empowerment, ensuring that students are well-equipped to face social challenges and play an active role in community health efforts.
