Awards and Recognition
In recognition of its significant contributions to nature conservation, the Nature Club was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000 by the Pollution Control Board, Kottayam, in 2023 for its innovative initiative "Beat Plastic Pollution." This initiative, aimed at protecting the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, involves regular cleaning drives to safeguard the sanctuary and its ecosystem. The club conducts these cleaning missions once or twice a month, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
