Harsha H Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. She holds an MA in English and Comparative Literature from Pondicherry Central University Her research interests span Posthumanism, Modernism, Post-Modernism, Psychoanalysis, and Cultural Studies, and she has published several journal articles on topics such as capitalist tendencies in literature and psychoanalytic perspectives in film. Among her publications are "Entrapping Through Empowering: An Analysis of New Capitalist Tendency of Manipulation of the ‘Other’" and a psychoanalytic reading of Ladies in Lavender. She has also presented her research at international conferences, including a recent paper on "Posthuman Apocalypse: An Analysis of Anthropocene in Andrew Stanton’s Wall-E" at the Centre for Research in Posthumanities, Bankura University.
Harsha's teaching focus includes Literary Theories, and she teaches Common Course in English. She actively contributes to the college community as Convenor of the Admission and Nature Clubs and as a member of several committees, including the Calendar, Purchase, and External Examination Committees. In 2024, she serves as the Admission Nodal Officer, further showcasing her dedication to student services and academic administration. Currently, she is also pursuing her research as a dedicated scholar.
