Mission:
- To offer quality education in Hindi that enhances students’ language skills and contributes to their overall personality development.
- To promote the importance of Hindi as a national language and its rich literary tradition through various academic and extracurricular activities.
- To provide multidisciplinary courses that cater to the diverse academic requirements of students across programmes, preparing them for global opportunities while staying rooted in Indian culture.
- To conduct workshops, seminars and literary programs creating a platform for students to explore, express and expand their knowledge in Hindi language and literature.
- To observe and celebrate important national events, promoting patriotism and unity among students.

Courses Offered:
- 2005: Common course for BSc Physics programme.
- 2014: Extended common courses for both BSc and BCom. Programs.
- 2024 Ability Enhancement Course (AEC) for BBA, BCom, BSc and BTTM programmes, alongside a Multidisciplinary Course (MDC) available for students of all degree programmes.
Department activities:
- Conducts literary programs and competitions for faculties and students every year.
- Observes significant national days like Hindi Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Student’s Day, Teacher’s Day to promote language, culture and national values.
