The Department of Tourism Studies at Sree Narayana Arts and Science College, Kumarakom, was established in 2005 with the introduction of the BA Travel and Tourism course. Over the years, the program evolved into the Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS) and later transitioned to the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) in 2017. Currently, the department offers a four-year Honors program in Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM-Hons) with specializations in Aviation Management and Tour Operation Management. This evolution reflects the department's commitment to meeting the changing needs of the tourism and travel industry. This aligns with the department's vision of becoming a centre of excellence in tourism education and its mission to foster skilled professionals through high-quality, sustainable, and industry-relevant training.

BTTM-Hons.: The Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management Honors program provides specialized education in tourism and hospitality, with two core specializations:

- Tour Operation Management: Prepares students for managing travel agencies, tour companies, and other tourism services.
