Dr. Simi P. Sukumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Malayalam at Sree Narayana Arts and Science College, Kumarakom. She holds multiple degrees, including a B.Sc., two B.Ed. degrees in Physical Science and Malayalam, and M.A., an M.Phil, and a Ph.D., along with NET qualification. Her research focuses on Cultural Studies and Folklore, and she is a recognized Research Guide. Dr. Simi has authored several books, published journal articles, and presented conference papers. In addition to her academic contributions, she plays an active role in various college-level committees, serving as the Convenor of the Counseling Cell, Literary and Oratory Club, and Malayalam Club. She is also a member of the IQAC and the Documentation Cell. Dr Simi has held several university-level roles, including being a Board of Studies (BoS) member, Expert Committee member, and Exam Squad Convenor. Dr. Simi's outreach work includes literacy initiatives among tribal communities, and she has delivered public lectures and participated as a resource person in workshops and seminars. With her deep knowledge of Malayalam language and literature, she is dedicated to both teaching and fostering community engagement.
